How to interpret the data

• The data originates with Brazil's Ministry of Labor and Employment, through Novo CAGED files.
• Results are grouped by geography and CBO occupational family.
• Admissions and dismissals are recorded movements; they are not a complete count of everyone employed.
• The metrics cover formal employment relationships governed by the CLT; arrangements outside that regime are not part of this visualization.
• Average admission salary refers to the admission salary field in the dataset, not the average salary of everyone in an occupational family. Pay for each hire can vary substantially by role, seniority, and other factors. Values are nominal Brazilian reais.
• Official data can be revised, and this project's processing or presentation may contain omissions, delays, or errors.
